For each individualized project, we strive to design an environment or space tailored to the specific needs of the client.

We first listen to what is not working and then make our suggestions, getting down to the fun part of problem-solving. After this, we dive into our client’s personal style and design aesthetic and collaborate to achieve a timeless, effortless look by mixing classical design elements with a modern and practical sensibility. Our designers are driven by their creativity and strive to make each project a custom space—one that inspires their clients for years to come.

The Process

We’ve made the design process straightforward and no-nonsense, tailored to fit your specific needs and project requirements, and we are more than happy to guide you through it. Here is a more detailed look at what you can expect:

Step 1

Connect with us! You can reach us by filling out our contact form, by email, or you can simply call our office. In our first conversation, we will be looking to learn more about you and your project. We will happily answer any inquiries and, once we know more, can work together to set up an initial consultation.

Step 2

What this usually looks like is a walkthrough between you and the design team. Meeting at your home or property, we can chat about the project in greater detail. This allows us to get a firmer sense for what your goals are; what is not working for you; and what you would like to see change. Use this time to ask questions and get to know us. We value and understand just how important the client and designer relationship is.

Step 3

Afterwards, we can put together a customized design proposal and contract outlining the project scope, associated design fees, and any other pertinent information specific to your project. Once this item is checked off, the fun begins!

Step 4

It’s now time to dive into the design process. A second site visit will be required to document and verify the existing conditions. This includes measuring and confirming the layout as it exists today. Once drawn up, we can begin working on the new design and plans.

Step 5

Here we start collaborating on materials, furniture, finishes, and custom detailing, ensuring that your personal style is captured and expressed in the final design. It is important to us that your vision and unique style is in line with the design direction. As we refine the design, our drawings will follow along at the same pace.

Step 6

When the construction and design drawings are complete, we begin to engage and bring on general contractors. Whether we use a contractor familiar to us or recommended by you, rest assured that we will stay involved throughout the duration of construction and will visit the project site regularly—helping to manage each phase of construction and installation.
